Prospect privacy policy and support

Prospect is a running app by Zero Vector Apps LLC. This page is its privacy policy and its support page. Last updated 6 October 2026.

The short version

Your runs stay on your phone. Prospect reads them from Apple Health to score them, and it never stores them and never sends them anywhere. It has no account and no sign-up, no advertising, and no chat, feed or leaderboard — nothing that puts you in contact with other people.

The one thing Prospect sends off your phone is your answer to a short survey, if you choose to answer it. It goes to Google Analytics, and we use it to learn whether Prospect is worth building further. What it contains, and what it does not, is set out below under The survey.

Who Prospect is for

Prospect is for runners aged 13 and over. It asks for your birth year when you set it up, and it cannot check it. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13. Because some people who use Prospect are teenagers, everything below applies to everyone, whatever age they entered: there is no looser setting for adults.

What Prospect reads from Apple Health

With your permission, Prospect reads your running workouts from Apple Health: when each run started, how far it went and how long it took. That is all it asks for. It does not ask for your heart rate, your weight, your calories, your sleep or anything else Apple Health holds, and it never writes anything to Apple Health.

Each time you open the app, Prospect reads the last twelve months of runs, scores them, and keeps none of them. No run is kept as a run: there is no record of a workout in that file. What it does keep is a handful of dates, day marks and figures worked out from your runs, and those are listed below. A run you delete in the Fitness app is simply gone from Prospect the next time it reads. You can turn Prospect’s access off at any time in the Health app or in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices.

Apple does not allow apps to use Apple Health data for advertising, and Prospect does not send it anywhere at all — not to us, and not to anyone else.

What Prospect keeps on your phone

Prospect stores a small file in its own space on your phone. It holds:

Prospect writes this file and Prospect reads it. Deleting the app deletes it.

Two honest exceptions, because it is your phone doing it rather than Prospect:

The survey

About two weeks after you set Prospect up, once you have run a few times, Prospect may ask you one question: How would you feel if you could no longer use Prospect? — and then what the main thing Prospect gives you is. Both are a tap on a fixed list. There is nowhere to type anything. You can answer, or tap NOT NOW; if you put it off twice, Prospect will not ask again. Once you answer, it never asks again.

If you answer, Prospect sends one message to Google Analytics, a service run by Google, containing only:

It does not contain your name (Prospect never asks for one), your birth year or age, your sex, any of your runs, your rating, your location from your phone, or anything you typed.

Because the message travels over the internet, Google also receives your phone’s IP address and basic information about the request, as any website you visit does, and may estimate a rough location from that IP address. Google handles its part under its own privacy policy. In our Google Analytics settings we have turned off Google signals, granular location and device data, and data sharing with Google; we have not linked any advertising account; and Google deletes the individual survey events after two months, though the totals in its standard reports are kept. We look only at the answers counted together — for example, what share of runners would be very disappointed — never at one person, which the data would not let us do anyway.

If your phone is offline when you answer, Prospect keeps the answer and sends it the next time you open the app with a connection, then deletes it. That survey message is the only thing Prospect ever sends anywhere.

What Prospect does not do

Not medical advice

Prospect’s ratings, plans and notes are about running, not health. They are not medical advice. If something hurts, stop, and talk to a parent, a coach or a doctor.

What Apple tells us

Apple gives every developer some information about their own apps that the app itself plays no part in collecting: aggregate figures such as how many people downloaded it, and crash reports from people who chose in their device settings to share those with developers. While Prospect is in testing through TestFlight, Apple also shows us the name and email address a tester was invited with, and any feedback or screenshots a tester chooses to send through TestFlight. Those come from Apple, not from Prospect, and Apple handles them under its own privacy policy.

Your choices

This website

This page itself has no accounts and no sign-in, sets no cookies of its own, and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Three parties still see something when you visit, and one of them is us. Amazon Web Services hosts the site, so serving a page involves your IP address, as it does for any website. The delivery network in front of it keeps access logs of those requests, which include visitor IP addresses, for 90 days — those are ours, and we can read them. And our pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those from Google, which receives your IP address and basic request information.

Support

For help with Prospect, or with anything else we make, email us at support@zerovectorapps.com. Our mail for that address is hosted by Zoho, so your message and your email address pass through Zoho, which handles its part under its own privacy policy. We use what you send only to answer you.

You can also use the contact form on our support page. That form is supplied by Google. Opening the support page sends Google your IP address and your browser information, and lets Google set its own cookies, before you type anything. The form asks for your name, your email address and your message; what you send goes to Google and then to us; and Google handles its part under its own privacy policy. We use it only to answer you.

Changes to this policy

If Prospect ever starts collecting or sending something new, this page will say so before it does, and the date at the top will change. That date is the only record of when this text last changed.
